You need to coat them with something that tastes bad. I have heard that hot spices work.

It takes about a month to break a habbit….
soo instead of biting your nails you can:
buy alot of packs of gum and instead of chewing
on your nails chew on that.

Or you can also take up a hobby.
Keep your mind off of it.

Polish your nails with clear nail polish. When you go to bite them and taste the disgusting taste of that nail polish, I’m sure you will stop.

You need a way to realize that you’re doing, since you probably do it absentmindedly. Maybe you could put something bitter or spicy on your nails for a while, so every time you put your fingers in your mouth, you’ll realize it. Or try putting something over your nails (it’s winter, you could try keeping your glove on). As soon as you stop trying to bite your nails, you can stop using the flavoring or gloves.

I have the exact same problem.

But what I hear is good, is putting something on your nails that tastes really bad.

Or, give yourself a reward for not biting them, think of something that you enjoy, and tell yourself, “if I don’t bite my nails this week then I’ll reward myself”

That’s the best I can think of!

There is a nail polish for this that is in most of the drug stores in the cosmetics section with the rest of the polish. It’s supposed to be unpleasant to help break the habit.

Like everyone else said, put something disgusting on them, also, find something to keep your hands busy and get some gum.

nail polish for nail biters (it has a bitter taste so it deters you from biting your nails).
